As we venture into a social distancing and unprecedented time where the situation changes daily. We now have successfully launched our very own in house telehealth solution. You are able to speak with your own provider or anyone one of our providers at KAP. We are not outsourcing this care to a third-party company or using virtual physicans to treat our patients.
The offering of telehealth will allow our providers to facilitate existing patients that have various barriers to over come (e.g. time, location, transportation difficulties).
***WE ARE OFFERING TELEHEALTH SERVICES TO NEW & EXISTING PATIENTS***
*THE MAJORITY OF ALL INSURANCE CARRIERS HAVE TELEHEALTH COVERAGE HOWEVER IT VARIES BY POLICY HOLDER. PLEASE CHECK YOUR POLICY TO SEE IF YOUR INSURANCE COVERS THIS SERVICE*
Our In-house nurse triage line will use their best judgement in identifying and recommending patients for telemedicine services.
Patients may be referred to these services for the following care:
[Acute Uncomplicated Issues] [Medication management] [Lab Results Review] [Chronic Care Management]
[Referrals] [ADHD Management] [Pre In-Office Assessment]
**Other situations will need to be determined by our in-house nurse triage or the provider**
Once we have determined that telemhealth services are appropriate, we will:
- Discuss the telehealth services with the patient, patient’s legal guardian or patient’s non-legal guardian.
- Provide the patient with our telehealth patient packet that must be filled out prior to scheduling appointment.
- Staff will collect payment for telehealth at time of scheduling.
- Telehealth that is not covered by your Insurance plan/policy holder, and self-pay patients who do not have insurance, KAP will charge the patient directly for services rendered at time of visit.
